Imagine you are a parent with a child that is struggling with expressive communication, or maybe you are this parent. You get to a park and see this. Parents and SLPs alike, I am sure we can agree that THIS PHOTO IS AMAZING! It was taken at a city park in Burlington, Ontario in Canada and shared via Facebook by a fellow SLP.
As a Speech Language Pathologist who works a lot with communication devices and AAC, I feel that EVERY park should have this! There are so many children with communicate impairments that can benefit from this large communicate board!
I have read that some other parks have this communication accessible feature. They are located in Enfield, CT and Newtown, PA. Has anyone seen this anywhere else? Share your locations so we can help parents and children in your area!
